Liberty Professional have completed a Cup double over city rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak with a second victory against the Phobians in 11 days.
This time round, the Dansoman-based side beat Hearts of Oak to lift the SWAG/Nyemetei Cup, a trophy the Phobians have lifted several times in their 96-year history.
Liberty displayed great skill to finish off their opponents 3-0 at the Ohene Djan stadium on Wednesday.
Yaw Antwi scored the games first goal under three minutes of kick off when a mix up in the Hearts defence allowed him to slot the ball past goalkeeper, Laud Quartey.
Liberty made sure their domination counted as they made the uninspiring Phobians pay dearly for their poor showing with the second goal in the 35th minute.
Yaw Antwi capped a great game when he hit a brace after getting the second goal from a Kojo Asamoah cross to end the half 2-0 up for Liberty.
Back for the second period and Liberty put their opponents beyond recovery when striker Kofi Nti Boakye scored just a minute after play started in the second half.
The victory made it two for Liberty Professionals over their city rivals after having pipped Hearts 7-6 on penalties to lift the maiden NIIT Invitational Tournament at the Elk-Wak Stadium eleven days ago.
