AshantiGold suffered a 1-0 home loss to Liberty Professionals to take their winless run to five matches in the Ghana Premier League as pressure continues to mount on coach Milovan Cirkovich.

Striker Kwame Karikari scored in the 37th minute of the game to hand Liberty Professionals their first win in five matches.

The Miners tried to break the defence of Liberty professionals, but their effort proved futile as the Dansoman lads kept their composure and discipline to inflict a painful defeat on their host.

Liberty goalkeeper Kofi Baah repelled everything thrown at him by Isaac Opoku Agyemang and Yaw Annor to keep a clean sheet.

Their next assignment is against Inter Allies, while AshantiGold travel to Sogakope to face WAFA at the Red Bull arena on match day 14.
