The Ghana Football Association has conducted a mandatory training programme for Premier League players and officials as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen understanding of the Laws of the Game, promote professionalism and foster greater respect for match officials across the competition.

Players and officials of Accra Hearts of Oak SC, Asante Kotoko SC, Bibiani Gold Stars FC, Basake Holy Stars FC, Karela United FC, Heart of Lions FC and Medeama SC have completed the training, alongside representatives of Young Apostles, Swedru All Blacks, Vision FC, Debibi United and FC Ashantigold 04.

Berekum Chelsea, Bechem United, Dreams FC and Port City FC are the remaining clubs to undergo the planned programme.

Led by GFA Technical Referees Instructors, the sessions also focus on the latest amendments to the Laws of the Game for the 2026/27 season, ensuring that club officials are adequately informed and equipped to support the proper application and understanding of the rules throughout the campaign.

The programme forms part of the Football Association’s broader commitment to promoting professionalism, integrity, respect and responsible conduct at all levels of Ghanaian football, while strengthening collaboration between clubs, players and match officials.

It would be recalled that players and officials have also been taken through integrity and safeguarding sessions and required to sign an Integrity Form, reaffirming their commitment to fair play, ethical conduct and the protection of the integrity of the game.
