Kumasi Asante Kotoko continued their renaissance in the Ghana Premier League with a hard-fought one nil victory against Dreams FC in Dawu.

Hitman Dauda Mohammed scored the fastest goal of the season under just 15 seconds to give the Porcupine Warriors their second successive win since Michael Osei took over as caretaker coach of the team.

The goal also condemned Dreams to their first-ever Premier League defeat at the refurbished Dawu Park.

Kotoko had slumped to the relegation zone after their jaded displays in the opening six games of the season, but two successive wins in a row has ensured a remarkable turn-around.

They are now 8th on the table and just six points behind leaders, Wa All Stars. Despite the defeat, Dreams FC retained their 3rd position on the league table as the teams behind them also dropped points.

The well-attended match, marked a happy return to the mountainous town by Kotoko after a 14-year break.

Kotoko last visited the Dawu Park in 2002 when the played against former Premier League campaigners, Dawu Youngsters.
