Asante Kotoko are now 10 points clear at the summit of the Glo Premier League table after bouncing back from a goal down to beat Wassaman 3-1.

The home side pushing to avoid relegation drew first blood at the Tarkwa T&A Park after four minutes through Evans Nyarko.

But Kotoko who are chasing their 22nd title and with a big game to come on Sunday against rivals, Hearts of Oak finished the half strongly, scoring two goals before halftime.

Ben Acheampong equalised in the 33rd minute and with three minutes before the break, Michael Anaba scored to put Kotoko in front.

Kotoko returned from the break leading on the score charts but it was the home side who chased the game.

Wassaman pushed for the equaliser to salvage at least a point but it was the Porcupine Warriors who were rewarded when Burkinabe attacker, Sacko Iddrissa scored his debut goal in the league to hand them victory.

The result leaves Wassaman rooted at the bottom of the standings with seven matches to finish the season.
