Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingson has completed his return to the Premiership as he officially joins Wigan.

The Black Stars number one has signed on for Steve Bruce's side on a three-year deal on Tuesday.

Kingson, 30, was able to move outside of the European transfer window because he was a free agent after being released by Birmingham last season.

"I know there are two good goalkeepers here already and all I can do is fight for my place and see where that takes me," he said.

This would be Kingson's second spell in the Premiership and with admirer, Steve Bruce, after the former Blues coach signed him on during his term with Birmingham, last season.
