Kevin, who has never played at at home before, is part of Goran Stevanovic's squad for Friday's Group I qualifier at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Since making his debut on June 5, 2010 in a friendly against Latvia and going on to play in five matches at last year's World Cup, the AC Milan midfielder is however, yet to play a competitive game for Ghana on home soil.

While it will also be his first game in for Ghana on home soil, the player whose birthday coincides with Ghana's independence day, says he is enjoying the reception from the fans.

"I know it [game against Congo] would be my first game but I'm enjoying every minute of my time here [Kumasi]. I would be happy to play my first game in Ghana.

"The reception from the fans in Accra was good and Kumasi is also the same. I feel great being here," Kevin said to the media on the sidelines after training on Wednesday.

Kevin has featured in six games for the senior team, scoring once against the United States in 2-1 win for Ghana at the 2010 World Cup.
