Hearts pip Hasaacas; Kotoko continue fine away form

Accra Hearts of Oak have stretched their lead on the Premier League table after beating Secondi Hasaacas by a lone goal in Accra in the Premier League.

Playing without their supporters in the first of their two empty stadium bans. the Phobians grabbed an early goal through Isaac Mensah to calm down the nerves of their few watching officials

Isaac Mensah's 8th minute goal proved to be the match winner, in a game which the visitors showed much attacking promise.

Hasaacas were comfortable on the ball, with their playmaker Samuel Afful the main threat. Hearts, on the other hand were resolute in defense with Richard Akrofi putting up a man-of-the-match display.

With the match heading for a close, Hearts of Oak escaped by the skin of their teeth when referee O.B. Amankwah ruled out a Hasaacas goal after consulting with his assistant.

With second placed Wa All Stars drawing 1:1 with WAFA in Wa, Hearts extended their lead on the Premier League table to three points.

Emmanuel Ocran opened the scoring for Wa All Stars but Komlan Agbegniandan equalized to snatch a precious point for WAFA. All Stars have dropped down to third, losing the second spot to Aduana Stars, who won away at New Edubiase.

Skipper Godfred Saka scored in the first half to give Aduana all three points at the Len Clay Stadium to take them to 2nd on the table.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko continued with their fine form with another away victory at Bechem which has taken them up to 4th on the table

Frank Sarfo Gyamfi's late goal sealed a third successive away win for The Porcupine Warriors.

At the Dawu Park, Dreams FC and Liberty Professionals sold out an entertaining encounter, resulting in a Four-goal thriller.

Lawson Bekui put Dreams ahead in the 16th minute but Liberty equalized midway in the second through a penalty converted by Bernard Arthur.

Lawson Bekui grabbed his second of the afternoon, putting Dreams in front just before half time.

Dreams held on to their lead, but surrendered with just 4 minutes to the end of the match as Latif Blessing grabbed a late equalizer for Liberty.

At the Tema Park, Inter Allies and Ashantigold settled for a 1:1 draw. Frederick Boateng opened the scoring for Inter Allies before Ashantigold equalized through a Dauda Mohammed penalty.

In Cape Coast, Ebusua Dwarfs and Berekum Chelsea settled for a goalless draw.
