Hearts of Oak kept pace with the top in the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday following a 2-1 home win over Hasaacas.

David Duncan's side are now three points adrift their rivals, Kotoko as the competition prepares for match-day-5 over the weekend.

Samuel Afful scored in between Emmanuel Hayford's 17th minute opener for the home side and the winner by Winfred Cobbinah in the second half.

The Phobians were stunned when Afful equalised for Hasaacas to send the game in break at 1-1.

But when Cobbinah struck from a free-kick, it proved difficult for Hasaacas to equalise again.

However, the home side could have increased the tally but former Ghana international goalkeeper George Owu made the difference by denying the Phobians.
