Elmina Sharks scored late to end Bechem United's three game unbeaten run on matchday ten of the Ghana Premier League.

Ishmael Hammond’s injury time penalty snatched all three points for Sharks in their 2-1 win over the Hunters at the Nduom sports complex in Elmina.

Tahir Musah had given Sharks the lead after 85 minutes as Behem United pulled parity in the 90th minute through a spot kick.

The two teams sold a boring first half as they failed to create decent chances to close a scoreless episode in the first half.

Coach Yaw Acheampong brought on Suraj Ibrahim for Rashid Sulley.

Sharks kept the pressure on Behem United and with five minutes left to end the game, Tahir Musah made no mistake by scoring the opener.

Bechem United responded quickly after earning a penalty, converted by captain Moro Salifu.

With the game almost heading to draw, Elmina sharks were awarded a penalty in added time and it was expertly converted by Ishmael Hammond.

The win gives Elmina Sharks their first win in three games and condemns Bechem United to their first defeat after three successive draws.
