Ghana international, Derek Boateng has received financial aid from Israeli club side, Beitar Jerusalem to back a lawsuit against his former agent over contractual issues.

Beitar Jerusalem has parted with $200,000 after a depressed Boateng told the club's management before a Jewish holiday, that he was in need of assistance to be used as a guarantee in a lawsuit against his former agent, Dennis Lichter.

Boateng would be expected to pay Beitar back upon the conclusion of legal proceedings, in another six months.

The funds will allow the Ghanaian midfielder to receive his regular salary from Beitar, after not being paid for seven months.

Boateng, claims that former Beitar chair Vladimir Sklar promised to take care of any legal expenses should the former agent, Dennis Lichter, sue him.

The player also expects Beitar to cover any fines, which could reach $800,000. Boateng is yet to produce any documents backing his claim.
