Ghanaian clubs get Ghalca support

The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), the body responsible for seeking the interests of all football clubs has urged Asante Kotoko and Obuasi AshantiGold to strive for success in their various continental matches this weekend.

AshantiGold would attempt to overturn a first leg 3-0 defeat against JS Kabylie of Algeria in a Champions League eliminator at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi on Sunday.

And in Kumasi, Kotoko play Nigeria's Wikki Tourist in the Confederations Cup at the Baba Yara Sports stadium. The Porcupine Warriors drew 2-2 in the first leg game away.

A statement signed by Kurt Okraku, Administrative Manager of GHALCA, urged the two clubs to exhibit fighting spirit until they hit the target of envy on Sunday also protect the image and pride of Ghana football.

Both teams are Ghana's sole representatives in the two continental competitions.
