This month’s ranking has seen significant changes on the back of 120 matches in the past four weeks as Ghana now have a total point build up of 917 having secured 98 more points from the month of May.

Ghana, who were ranked 28th in last month’s release regain the 19th place the Black Stars held in March.

On the African continent, Ghana jumps to the second position behind Cameroon while Ivory Coast drop to the third position.

June’s ranking also sees world champions Italy consolidate their position on top the rankings.

France has moved second with Brazil occupying the third place.

According to FIFA, the fall in value of the results from last year's World Cup and crucial EURO 2008 qualifiers coming up, there are likely to be more changes in the top 10 in the not too distant future.

Ghana, by virtue of being host of the 2008 African Cup of Nations is not taking part in the continent’s qualifying campaign and are thus expected to be affected by the calculations in the coming months.
