Ghana produced an efficient display to book their place in the final round of qualifying for 2011 African U-17 Championship after beating Zambia 2-0 at home on Saturday.

The win by the Black Starlets at the Ohene Djan Stadium earned Ghana a 3-2 aggregate win after losing the first leg 2-1 in Lusaka.

Attackers John Nyamekye and captain Nasiru Mohammed scored both Ghana goals as they now await to play either Guinea or Senegal in the final round.

Nyamekye's opener on 3 minutes revived Ghana's chances of progressing as the striker scored from a rebound after the Zambian goalkeeper had spilled his first time shot at goal.

Three minutes after the opener, Ghana had a goal disallowed when striker Benjamin Asamoah was adjudged to be in an offside position.

Though many hoped the opener had set the stage for more to come, Ghana had to endure a long wait to see another goal and it came five minutes after the break.

A move into the Junior Chipolopolo box saw attacker Benjamin Boateng felled by Zambia captain Chishima Changala who was dismissed for a second bookable offence and a penalty given.

Nasiru scored from a spot kick, the second and final goal of the day to guarantee the Black Starlets a place in the final round of qualifying ahead of the championship to be hosted by Rwanda.
