GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi and other top African Football officials welcomed CAF President Issa Hayatou back to the CAF Headquarters in Cairo.

Alhaji Hayatou has been in Zurich where he attended an extraordinary FIFA Executive Committee meeting in his new role as Acting FIFA President.

The African Football chief who is the longest serving Vice President of FIFA assumed his new position as acting President of the world football governing body, following the suspension of incumbent Sepp Blatter.

Mr. Nyantakyi who is currently in Cairo accompanied the Egyptian Sports Minister and other officials to the airport on Wednesday evening to welcome Mr. Hayatou ahead of the CAF executive committee meetings which will be held this week.

The Ghanaian FA President is a member of the CAF Executive Committee.
