
The Ghana Football Association Congress is currently underway in Tamale as the Association prepares to elect its President for the next four years.
Incumbent President Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi who was the only candidate to file his nomination before the closing date set by the Electoral Committee, is set to contest unopposed in line with the Statutes of the GFA.
123 delegates from the various football clubs and other constituent bodies have converged at the UDS (Tamale) Auditorium for today's event.
The road map to the 2015 GFA Elections began on July 13 when nominations for the election of the president was officially opened.
This will be followed by the election of representatives of the Premier, Division One, RFA’S and the constituent bodies to form the Executive Committee.
The entire process which will also include District and Regional Executive elections is expected to end on 10 November, 2015.
