The Ghana Football Association have denied emphatically allegations that player Laryea Kingston attempted to assault coach Milovan Rajevac at the team's camp in Paris.

Reports carried back home in Ghana have claimed that the Hearts midfielder had to be "prevented from physically assaulting coach Milovan Rajevac" after he was left out of the final 23 man squad for the World Cup.

It has also been alleged that Laryea verbally attacked the coach and had to be held back by Vice president of the FA, Fred Pappoe.

But spokesperson for the Ghana Football Association, Randy Abbey says the sport body is only aware of the allegation making rounds in the media.

"We only woke up for the day's session to hear of the news back home of an alleged assault which was claimed to have occurred in the Ghana camp in Paris on Saturday after the squad for the World Cup was announced," the FA spokesperson told www.ghanafa.org.

"The claims as contained in the reports are untrue. The player in question has even called to ask about the supposed incident which the reports claimed to have happened.

"This [reports] can only be made up by someone's imagination. It was a descent arrangement with all the players who did not make it. No person hurled insults or spark an angry outburst. We really appreciate and are satisfied with the professional conduct of the players.

"The Vice President - Fred Pappoe - is also shocked that he's been reported to have held back Laryea Kingston when no such thing occured.

"At no point did such a thing happen in our camp and we wish to communicate that those reports are false."

Ghana will play the Dutch side at Rotterdam's De Kuip grounds on Tuesday in the first friendly ahead of the World Cup finals.
