The GFA Executive Committee has approved the Match Review Panel’s recommendation to suspend Referee Isaac Quaye for four (4) official matches  in respect of the Ghana Premier League match day 4 game between Liberty Professionals and Medeama.

The Match Review panel reviewed the video of the match to establish whether the referee exercised a correct discretion to continue with the match when the field of play had become water logged after a heavy rain downpour.

The Committee invited the referee to its meeting  where he admitted that he shouldn’t have continued with the game and apologized for the mistake.

The suspension takes immediate effect.
