Elmina Sharks will lock horns with Bechem United in a matchday 10 Ghana Premier League tie on Sunday at the Nduom sports complex at Elmina.

Both teams head into the game with a three-game winless run. Elmina Sharks have not won a since their 1-0 win against Inter Allies in a match day six encounter. Sharks lost to Karela United (3-1), before recording a back-to-back draw against Hearts of Oak (1-1) and King Faisal (1-1).

The Hunters are yet to rediscover their early-season form. They suffered their worst defeat of the season against Hearts of Oak, a match they lost 6-1 at the Accra Sports stadium.

They have twice dropped points at home sharing the spoils against King Faisal (1-1) and Dreams FC (1-1) in two straight games.

Elmina Sharks winger Benjamin Tweneboah and striker Benjamin Bernard Arthur have gone six and four games without scoring, a worry for head coach Yaw Acheampong. They have been overly reliant on midfielder James Bissue, who has burst into life since returning to the local scene.

The two sides have met three times since 2017, with each side recording a win before a thrilling 3-3 draw in 2018.

Sharks lie 10th in the table, while Bechem United sit second on the table.
