EC endorses creation of new committees

Two new committees have been formed to complement the effective running of the Ghana Football Association’s operations while others have been reconstituted.

The decision to create and the reconstitution of the committees was taken after the Executive Committee’s final session for the year last Thursday.

The FA’s governing and decision making body at the meeting at its headquarters in Accra approved the formation Protocol and Procurement Committees and the reconstitution of the Appeals and Player Status Committees.

Both new Committees are chaired by members of the Executive Committee.

Awuah Nyamekye heads the Protocol Committee which includes Alhaji Sulemana Braimah, Charles Aryeh, Tony Obeng and Alex Asante being the secretary.

The Procurement Committee has Fred Crentsil as the head of the three-member body.

Other members for the Procurement Committee are Awuah Nyamekye and Ismail Amin, the secretary to the committee.

The Executive Committee has approved the creation of a new Disciplinary Committee to hear cases involving the division one league.

The creation of the new Disciplinary Committee is expected to speed up the backlog of cases pending.

Amadu Tanko heads the new Disciplinary Committee with Farouk Seidu as the vice.

Other members to serve on the committee are Joyce Opoku Boateng, J.A. Mensah and a yet to be added fifth nominee.

The appointments of Kwame Ntow Fiako and Nana Ntiri Dankyi as chairman and vice chairman of the Division One League Board has been ratified by the Executive Committee.

Kwame Ntow Fiako was elevated to the chairmanship of the DOLB following the resignation of Douglas Djarbeng.

The Executive Committee has appointed Alhaji Franko Lamptey to the Division One League Board as member.

The Appeals and Player Status Committees have been reconstituted.

Jude Amankwah has been appointed to replace Tanko Amadu as vice chairman of the Appeals Committee whiles Mr. Awuakye replaces Yaw La Danso on the Player Status Committee because of the latter’s state of health.
