Berekum Chelsea repeated another President's Cup success over Asante Kotoko, this time, rallying back from a goal down to win 2-1 on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors could not survive Chelsea's second half fightback as the Berekum side lifted the Cup for the second consecutive time after winning last year's event over same opponents, Kotoko, on penalties.

Gladson Awako's 20-metre grounder sailed past goalkeeper Abdulai Soulama to hand victory to the African Champions League campaigners in the 73rd minute after Edward Kpodo had equalised Kofi Nti Boakye's first half opener.

It was a game of two halves with Kotoko very dominant in the first half while Chelsea took charge of affairs after recess.

Nti Boakye gave Kotoko the lead in the 15th minute after chipping the ball past a sprawling Ernest Sowah in goal for Chelsea.

Kotoko failed to take advantage as they were by the far the superior side and held onto their lead till the break.

But after the interval, the tie turned in Chelsea's favour with Kpodo back-heeling from close range beyond Soulama to draw his side level, four minutes after the start of the second half.

Awako then settled matters after he let go his ferocious strike to win the day for Chelsea.
