Champions Edubiase out of MTN FA Cup

New Edubiase have been eliminated from the MTN FA Cup after losing their Round of 64 qualifier to Division One side, Starke FC on Sunday.

The reigning Cup champions were seeking a place in the third round but a 1-0 away defeat ended their campaign in the second round.

Despite Edubiase's elimination, it was a dominant Sunday for the Premier League sides in the competition as six progressed to the third round with the exception of Wa All Stars and King Faisal.

Medeama defeated Wa All Stars 5-4 on penalties after drawing goalless in regulation time while King Faisal were shocked by second-tier side, Mighty Jets, who beat the Kumasi team, 1-0.

Hearts of Oak managed a 1-0 home win against B.A. Stars in Accra. In Berekum, Chelsea advanced to the next stage after beating Feyenoord 3-2.
