CAS rejects Eurafrica application for Stay of Execution

The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) has rejected the application for stay and provisional measures filed by Eurafrica Football Club on 20 March 2023 in the procedure CAS 2023/A/9517 Eurafrica FC v. Sunyani The Wisers FC & Ghana Football Association.

Following the decision by CAS, Eurafrica FC are bound to pay an amount of €62,000.00 to Sunyani-based Wisers FC as well as 10% of the transfer fee to the Ghana Football Association.

Eurafrica FC were directed by the GFA Appeals Committee in its decision to pay the said amounts within seven days.

This CAS decision is relation with the GFA PSC's decision the application of Wiser FC for Eurafrica to pay compensation and 10% of the onward transfer fee from AS Roma in respect to Felix Afena Gyan which was affirmed by the Appeals Committee.

Following the decision which was affirmed by the GFA Appeals Committee, Eurafrica FC filed an application to CAS and also filed for a Stay of Execution.

With the Stay of Execution application decided, the substantive case before CAS will continue.
