Bottom placed Heart of Lions will clash with Bechem United on Matchday 11 of the betPawa Premier League at Hohoe on Saturday.

The ongoing League has recorded One hundred and Seventy-three (173) goals in 90 games with home teams scoring 118 and the away teams bagging 55 goals.

The League has also recorded 51 home wins, 10 away wins and 29 draws after Matchday 10.

Bechem United are unbeaten in their last six league games and will be tussling with Heart of Lions at the Hohoe Park on Saturday.

The returnees are winless in the League having drawn seven and lost three, while the Hunters have won three games, drawn four and recorded three losses with 10 goals scored and 12 conceded. Bechem United sit in 9th place in the league log with 13points and will go into the game with loads of confidence following their recent surge in form.

Heart of Lions are also winless and currently bottom of the table with 7 points after 10 games and will hope to record their first League victory against Bechem United after failing to pick a single victory thus far.

Ebenezer Abban who has played every single minute for Hearts of Lions is the player to watch as he leads the squad on Saturday. Also in the squad is forward Mustapha Yakubu who has scored 2 goals for his side. Bismark Anim, Mohaison Mahmoud, Philip Kekyi, Vincent Anane and Yaw Danso are all available to represent Heart of Lions on Saturday.

For Bechem United, the experience of Augustine Okrah will come to play. The former Asante Kotoko winger has scored 5 goals in 9 games for Bechem United and has led by example since his return to the League. On the other hand, Cephas Kofi Mantey, Emmanuel Ababio, Seth Kwadwo, Aaron Essel, shot stopper Benjamin Kwesi Asiedu and Emmanuel Avornyo are all in good shape and look likely to start for Bechem United.

Still on Saturday, League leaders Aduana FC will aim to remain on top of the standings when they travel up north to face Karela United at Aliu Mahama stadium.

The former champions are unbeaten in their last five league games and a victory will make keep them them at the top of the league log.

Karela United are winless in their last eight games and sit in 17th place with 9 points. They have recorded four consecutive draws and one defeat (against Accra Lions) and look very desperate to break that jinx.

Aduana FC have been very good travelers in the League - having recorded two consecutive away wins against Real Tamale United (3-1) and Heart of Lions (2-1) to become the first Premier league side to beat the returnees at home.

Karela United have played Aduana FC three times at home with a record of one win, one draw and one defeat. They won 2-1 against Aduana FC in 2020/21, drew 1-1 in 2021/22 and won 1-0 in 2022/23 season and this season’s game will be the first time they will play Karela United at their new home grounds - Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

League top scorer Isaac Mintah is in good form and aims to add to his 9 goals to stay on top of the chart. Emmauel Gyamfi has also peaked at the right for the leaders having netted five times for Yaw Acheampong’s side.

Other key payers include Bright Adjei, Rich Sackey, Godfred Poku Wakii, Sam Adams and Richard Tetteh.

Karela United have a fully fit squad to face Aduana FC with the likes of Evans Adomako Wiredu who is their top scorer with 4 goals, George Amonoo, Maxwell Arthur, Emmanuel Boakye Owusu, Abdul Bashiru, Abdul Latif, Fatawu Mohammed and Maxwell Agyemang all available to start.
