Ghana's Andre 'Dede' Ayew has been named in the CAF Team of the Year for 2015.

At a glitzy ceremony in the Nigerian capital Abuja, Ayew missed out on the biggest award of the night after he emerged as third best on the continent behind Borrussia Dortmund's Gabonese striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyyang and Manchester City's Yaya Toure respectively.

However, the Swansea City winger is the only Ghanaian player in the 2015 CAF Best Xi which include Kidiaba, Serge Aurier, Aymen Abdennour, Mohammed Meftah, Sadio Mane, Yacine Brahimi,Mbwana Aly Samatta, Aubameyang, Yaya Toure, and Baghdad Bounedjah.

Former Ghana player and coach, the late C.K Gyamfi was also honored as an African legend.

Most promising talent - Etebo Oghenakoro (Nigeria)

Women's player of the year - Gaelle Enganamouit (Cameroon)

Referee of the year - Papa Bakary Gassama (Gambia)

Charles Kumi Gyami (Ghana) and Samuel Mbappe Leppe (Cameroon) are named African Legends

The Leader of the year award goes to Abdiqani Said Arab (Somalia)

African player of the year based in Africa - Mbwana Samatta (Tanzania)

Platinum award goes to Muhammadu Buhari, the President of Nigeria
