Ghana’s Black Sharks look set to host the Sand Pharaohs’ of Egypt in the 1st leg of the CAF Beach Soccer Cup of Nations Mozambique 2022 qualifiers at the Laboma Beach on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

Ghana will be facing one of Africa’s giants, Egypt –a side that have appeared 10 times in the Africa Beach Soccer championship, won Bronze in 2006, 2011, 2016 and 2018. Ghana is an emerging force in African Beach Soccer history having appeared in the AFCON three times and finished 7th on two consecutive occasions in 2015 and 2016.

The Black Sharks have been camping at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram to sharpen all rough edges ahead of the game on Sunday. Some of the players were selected from the recent Beach Soccer FA Cup to strengthen the already existing squad that previously participated in some high profile Beach Soccer tournaments across the African continent.

The winner of the two legs will progress to the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for Mozambique from Friday, October 21 to Sunday, 0ctober 30, 2022.

The match which is scheduled for 3pm kick off will be broadcast live on Max TV, the YouTube page of the Ghana Football Association and the Ghana Football App.
