AshantiGold SC a d Asante Kotoko drew blank in the much talked about Ashanti derby at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi in the Ghana Premier League.

Asante Kotoko should have won the game as most of the scoring opportunities fell to them.

Burkina Faso import Mohammed Bailou retuned to the starting line up for AshantiGold as Milovan Cirkovic made four changes to the side that lost 5-2 to Legon Cities.

He took the place of Felix Clottey who was gradually winning the trust of the Serbian trainer. Kwadwo Amoako played in midfield in place of injured Appiah McCarthy. Richard Osei Agyemang Agyemang replaced Michael Enu in central defence as Isaac Opoku Agyemang came in for Hans Kwofie.

For Asante Kotoko, Emmanuel Sarkodie returned from suspension to take the place of injured Habib Mohammed. Abdul Latif Anabila made way for Mudasiru Salifu while Augustine Okrah started in place of injured Patrick Asmah.

AshantiGold goalkeeper Bailou puled some superb saves in the 7th and 22nd minutes to keep his side in the game. He did a great work in a one-on-one situation to deny Kwame Opoku in the 7th minute.

The Porcupine Warriors kept pushing for the opener as Naby Keita came so close in the 84th minute but his effort missed the goalposts by inches.

Asante Kotoko came so close again one minute from full-time when Brazilian forward Fabio Gama's header went wide.

AshantiGold remain undefeated at home in the ongoing season with the draw as Asante Kotoko also preserved their unbeaten away record.
