Asante Kotoko face strugglers Inter Allies Wednesday - Preview

Inter Allies and Asante Kotoko are in desperate need of a win for different reasons and will hope to get back to winning ways after losing points in their respective matches over the weekend.

Asante Kotoko drew goalless with regional rivals AshantiGold whiles Inter Allies lost 1-0 to Legon Cities in the Accra new boys derby. The two teams will on Wednesday, face each other at the Accra Sports Stadium in the match day 12 fixture of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.

The Porcupine Warriors have gone two games without a win following a defeat to Aduana stars (1-0) and Sundays draw against AshantiGold in Ashanti derby. Prior to that defeat, to Aduana Stars, Kotoko, had not lost a game since their 1-0 home defeat to Accra Great Olympics in December 2020.

Their top marks man Kwame Opoku who has scored six goals in the ongoing campaign has not found the back of the net in their last three games and will aim to break his goal drought against Allies on Wednesday.

Asante Kotoko have lost twice at the Accra sports stadium this season and will be looking ahead to an improved performance against the Eleven Is to One side. Richmond Lamptey and Mohammed Zakari have been passed fit for the match. But Hashmin Musah will miss the match after taking red card in the last game against Legon Cities.

The two sides have met eight times in the Ghana Premier League. Asante Kotoko have won thrice and Inter Allies have won twice with 3 of the matches ending in draws.
