Asante Kotoko defeat Olympics in five-goal thrille

Asante Kotoko have recorded their first winin the second round of the season after beating Great Olympics 3-2 at the Accra Stadium on Wednesday.

Dauda Mohammed opened the goal account for Kotoko in the First Capital Plus Premir League Match day 18 tie before Ahmed Toure’s brace while Edmund Sekyi and Daniel Appiah got two goals for Olympics.

Mohammed found the opener for Kotoko in the 18th minute and striker Ahmed Toure restored their lead after Edmund Sekyi equalized in the 39th minute.

Olympics however brought the game back on level terms after Daniel Appiah capitalized on a counter attack to score in the second half.

Toure once again struck in the 69th minute to give his side the lead which eventually saw them secure all three points.

Kotoko who before the game where lying around the relegation zone, have now moved into the 7th position while Olympics are 15th on the log.
