Medeama's hopes of returning to the summit of the Glo Premier League suffered a hit after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Amidaus Professionals.

Leading 2-1 at the T&A Park, it was a 74th minute equaliser by Selasi Adjei that ended Medeama's hopes of regaining their position at the top.

Medeama sounded their intent early when they took their lead after four minute courtesy Theophilus Anobaah's opener.

But Yahaya Mohammed was on hand to draw the Premier League debutants level in the 29th minute.

Five minutes later, Akwei Polo restored Medeama's lead as they held onto their lead into recess.

Back from the break, it took Amidaus some 29th minutes to draw level when Adjei scored the much needed equaliser after being set up by Yahaya.
