Striker Isaac Agyenim Boateng scored in each half to hand Medeama SC a 2-1 win against former Champions Aduana stars as they recorded their first home win in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League campaign.

Boateng scored as early as the 7th minute of the game as he coolly finished a beautiful pass from Abbas Mohammed’s flick inside the box.

Aduana drew level before the first half after Bright Adjei's miscued shot deflected to beat goalkeeper Frank Boateng who stood in for regular goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi.

The Mauve and Yellow returned from the break determined to win as they kept the heat on the visitors for the better part of the exchanges.

Agyenim Boateng walked the ball into the back of the net after a sublime build up from the Tarkwa based side.

Medeama needed the win to badlt to turn around their fortunes after drawing their first three home matches against Great Olympics (1-1), Liberty Professionals (0-0) and Asante Kotoko (1-1).

The win is a massive boost for Medeama SC who have been thirsting for a home win in four matches.

Frank Boateng was given a rare start by Samuel Boadu in place of Eric Ofori Antwi.

Captain Joseph Tetteh Zutah also made his first start of the season and despite being replaced by Ebenezer Ackhabi in the second half, he was immaculate on the day.

Aduana Stars worked hard in search of the equalizer but was too little too late as the home side snatched their first victory at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.
