Claude Le Roy has called up his 21-man squad for Ghana’s double friendly matches against Morocco and Saudi Arabia beginning this weekend.

The squad includes three uncapped players - striker, Nafiu Iddrissu ([ictured above) and local goalkeepers, Isaac Amoako and Isaac Ackon while Andre Ayew and Ahmed Barusso earn their second call ups in less than a month since their first invitation into the senior side.

NEC Breda striker, Matthew Amoah after an impressive start to the season also earns a call up, his first under Le Roy.

Moses Sakyi who made his Ghana debut in 2004 during a friendly against Togo at home gets an invitation while Nana Akwasi Asare also makes a return to the team after a year.

Hans Adu Sarpei, who was initially called up has been ruled out due to a groin injury while playing for club, Bayer Leverkusen over the weekend.

Still missing out of the team is captain, Stephen Appiah and John Mensah, as both recuperate from injuries.

Two of the attackers selected by Claude Le Roy, Asamoah Gyan and Prince Tagoe would skip the game against Morocco to represent the nation in the Olympic qualifiers on the same weekend of the Black Stars game.

Both players would join the rest of the squad for the final friendly game against Saudi Arabia.

Ghana would play North African side, Morocco on September 8 in the France before taking on Saudi Arabia four days later on September 12.

The Black Stars’ game with the Atlas Lions would be played in the French city of Rouen while Saudi Arabia welcomes Ghana to Riyadh.

Ghana’s meet with the two nation’s forms part of the Black Stars preparations towards next year’s African Cup of Nations in 2008. The Black Stars last month drew 1-1 with Senegal in a similar exercise in London.
