The Football Association has announced that fixtures for the 2025/26 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League (WPL) will be released on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
The full schedule covering all 180 matches will be published on the GFA’s official website, www.ghanafa.org, and shared across the Football Association’s social media platforms. Each of the 20 participating teams will play 18 matches during the season.
The campaign is set to kick off over the weekend of October 31 to November 3, 2025, with matches across both the Northern and Southern Zones, and will conclude on the weekend of April 24–27, 2026.
The WPL features 20 elite clubs divided into two zones of 10 teams each. Defending champions Police Ladies will look to retain their crown following a stellar 2024/25 season, but face stiff competition from former champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies, who are determined to reclaim their dominance.
This season also welcomes four newly promoted sides: Northern City Ladies FC and Ashtown Ladies in the Northern Zone, along with Oak Ladies and Samartex Ladies in the Southern Zone. Their arrival promises fresh rivalries and an added layer of competition to Ghana’s premier women’s football league.
