Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah will miss Ghana's two friendly matches lined up in Europe this month because of injury.

Ghana would play two separate international away friendlies against Austria and Brazil within a four-day period.

Appiah, who plays for Fenerbahce has been ruled out of action for two weeks after suffering a thigh strain during Saturday's 4-0 thrashing of Bursaspor.

The 26 year-old midfielder's absence was confirmed on Monday after tests on his thigh injury and he will not play in the matches against Austria in Graz on 24 and Brazil three days later in Sweden.
