The final minute of the opening half was greeted with applause for King Faisal goalkeeper and captain Alexander Domfeh as he tipped over Shafiu Mumuni’s header from an Amos Addai cross to keep scores barren.

The second period lacked any promise from both teams until the 70th minute when Faisal goalkeeper Alexander OseiDomfeh was shown his marching orders after a second yellow card for handling the ball outside the box. The resultant kick was beautifully slot beyond substitute goalkeeper KaisanYuisu who had just spent seconds in the post.
