Young Apostles go top of Zone One B table with Debibi United win

Tamale City FC picked the vital points against Northern City FC in the Tamale derby after winning 4-0 on Matchday 8 of the Access Bank Division One League. Ibrahim Mohammed of Northern City scored an own goal in the 14th minute to give Tamale City the lead. Yaro Isaac doubled the lead for Tamale City in the 23rd minute to give the citizens a 2-0 lead before thrle break. Abdul Basit Lamale added the third goal in the 60th minute before Yaro Isaac wrapped things up with a 68th minute stunner - his second of the day. Yaro Isaac of Tamale City was named the player of the match after netting a brace and leading the team to victory.

In zone One B, Young Apostles recorded a 1 nil victory over Debibi United to go top of the table. Prince Kesse scored the only goal of the match in the 22nd minute to win the game for Young Apostles - securing them the top spot with 16 points.

Meanwhile former Premier League side, Techiman Eleven Wonders came out victorious against Berekum City following a 2-1 win. Imurana Abdulai Sule scored the first goal for Eleven Wonders in the 34th minute as they went intonthe break with a slender lead. In the second half, Eleven Wonders doubled the lead through Simms Kwayie who converted a spot kick in the 62nd minute before Felix Owusu pulled one back for Berekum City.
