Police Ladies vs Sea Lions FC

Police Ladies are heading into this fixture with on the back of a sweet 3-1 victory over Thunder Queens. Striker Jane Ayieyam delivered an MVP performance with her first goal of the season before Grace Anima and El Shaddai Acheampong added a goal each to record that emphatic win at the Tema Community 8 Park. Sea Lions are the whipping girls in the zone and are on a three-match losing streak, following 1-0 loss to Immigration, 2-1 loss to Thunder Queens and 3-0 home defeat to Soccer Intellectuals. The ‘Butwekumba’ have scored a league-low five goals in the season so far. The last meeting with Police Ladies in Elmina saw Sea Lions losing by a lone goal courtesy Grace Animah. The Elmina-based side comes into this week 9 fixture as the obvious underdogs as last weekend's performance tilts the scales in favor of Police Ladies.

Berry Ladies vs. Soccer Intellectuals

Battling Immigration Ladies gave the ‘Berries’ an ideal opportunity claw back into the winner’s circle as they delivered a spectacular performance in a 4-1 win at the McDan La Town Park. Winger, Constance Serwaa Agyemang was a delight to watch on the flanks, delivering a brace in addition to the stellar performance which eventually won her the Player of the Match accolade. Soccer Intellectuals have enjoyed some good run playing away from home with 3 wins and 1 loss. The team was in fine form last weekend playing as guest to Sea Lions. Mary Awuah Boateng, Sophia Abena Yeboah and Amoh Janet were on target to secure all three points in an emphatic win which lifted them to the 3rd position in the league log with 15 points. The last encounter between these two sides saw Berry Ladies claiming all 3 points on the road in Ajumako courtesy a hat-trick from Felicity Asante, however this weekend presents a huge test to Berry Ladies as Soccer Intellectuals - a side with no away loss in Accra in the on-going League come visiting.

Hasaacas Ladies vs. Immigration Ladies

Hasaacas Ladies’ extended their unbeaten streak to seven games after beating Lady Strikers 5-1 last weekend. Doris Boaduwaa opened the scoring with her first goal of the season and added another to grab a brace. Veronica Appiah also recorded a brace before Milot Abena Pokua added the fifth goal to complete the rout. The win ensured the ‘Dooo Ladies’ stay top of the table with 20 points, one point above second placed Berry Ladies.  Immigration Ladies are yet to find an antidote to their poor performance this season. The mid-season break presented the team a fine opportunity to put their house in order but their performance against Berry Ladies over the weekend depicted otherwise. They have only managed one win, two draws and five defeats in their last eight games. However, the last encounter between these two sides on match day 2 ended goalless and could be a confidence-booster for Immigration Ladies. Hasaacas Ladies are simply unstoppable in the Zone as they seek to protect their unbeaten run at their favourite ground - Sekondi Gyandu Park on match day 9.

Lady Strikers FC vs. Thunder Queens FC

Lady Strikers lost heavily to Hasaacas Ladies on match day 8 to bring an end a six-game unbeaten run. Much will be expected from the team especially poster girl, Suzzy Dede Teye after last weekends disappointment. A solitary goal from Gladys Amfobea gave the ‘Strikers’ something to hang on to but that wasnt enough to save their blushes during the game. Thunder Queens, are languishing in the 7th position after suffering a humiliating 3-1 loss to Police Ladies. Travelling to face a wounded Lady Strikers side looks daunting but surmountable. Lady Strikers lost 1-2 to Hasaacas Ladies before thumping Thunder Queens by a 5-4 margin.
