The visitors were the superior side from the blast of the whistle, mounting pressure on the defense of Halifax Ladies.

Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo's side fell behind to a 12th minute penalty when Gifty Addai Boakye was brought down in the 18 yard box by Cynthia Boakye Yiadom and was neatly converted by Catherine Arthur.

On the 32 minute, a fine team move saw the ball break for Gifty Addai Boakye and her simple finish from 10 yards shot the visitors up to spark wild celebrations.

The introduction of Elizabeth Ayebea helped the home side to find their feet after the break as she injected some energy but Ellen Coleman’s defense denied the home side in front of goal.

Although on the losing side, Ernestina Tetteh’s effort in midfield for Halifax Ladies earned her the NASCO Player of the Match. She takes home a NASCO mobile phone and a NASCO hand dryer.

This result means Ladystrikers have now won the second of their last seven league games whereas Halifax Ladies also suffer their first defeat of the season
