Women's Premier League: Berry Ladies beat Immigration to keep chase alive

Title contenders Berry Ladies beat Immigration Ladies 4-1 on match day 8 of the Women’s Premier League at the McDan La Town Park on Saturday.

Berry Ladies took control of the game from the blast of the whistle with some amazing runs on the flanks and it came as no surprise when Constance Agyemang gave them the lead on the 5th minute of proceedings.

With the game tilted towards one direction, Constance Agyemang fetched a brace inside 15 minutes before Victoria Osei added her name to scoring sheet on the 36th minute.

Constant Agyemang missed the chance to score a hat-trick after she missed a penalty on 45 minutes. The first half of the game ended 3:0 against Immigration Ladies.

The second half started with both teams fighting for goals search of a goal but those chances were missed by both teams.

Immigration Ladies forward Gifty Appiah Gyapong 60" got a goal for her side to make it 3:1. But Berry Ladies quickly restored their three goal advantage through midfielder Grace Adams to make it 4:1 against Immigration Ladies.

Berry ladies forward Constance Agyemang was voted as the NASCO player of the match.

The win keeps Berry Ladies in good stead for the title as they keep the chase on leaders Hasaacas Ladies. They now have 19 points from 8 matches.
