Winless Hearts of Oak play host to Dreams FC in Accra- Preview

Hearts of Oak Head Coach Kosta Papic says his team will soon perform wonders in the Ghana Premier League. He said this on Wednesday ahead of their match day five encounter against Dreams FC.

It won’t take a year or two, it’s just a matter of weeks and months. This team will perform wonders.

“We shall challenge for the title soon. Says Kosta Papic.

Papic is who replaced Edward Odoom two weeks ago, is expected to direct affairs from the side-lines on Sunday after missing the game against Karela United Football Club last week.

He faces an uphill task to get the club back to winning ways having gone three games without a win.

With a game less, Hearts are third-bottom in the League table with two points (all two draws, against Ashanti Gold (2-2) and (0-0) against Karela United.

They kept a clean sheet against Karela United but not against AshantiGold and Inter Allies as they lost 1-0 to Inter Allies on match day three. Midfielder Edward Nettey will be available for selection after missing their last encounter against Karela United FC.

Kojo Obeng Junior and Abednego Tetteh are expected to play upfront against Dreams FC on Sunday. One player whose name is on the lips of many, is winger Patrick Razak.

The former Horoya FC attacker dazzled against AshantiGold and Inter Allies proving two assists against the miners. His pace, power and surging runs is an attribute that cause problems for opponents.

Dreams FC is expected to unleash striker Joseph Esso on Sunday after joining from the Phobians in the summer transfer. He will lead the lines for the Dawu based club and a lot of load will be his shoulders as he lines up against his former team mates. Esso has so far scored two goals in the League.

Former Nzema Kotoko striker Agyenim Boateng Mensah showed class in the Division One League before his mega move to the mountains. But he is yet to sparkle, firing blank in his first four games.

Dreams FC began the campaign with a draw (0-0) against Inter Allies. They won 2-1 against Medeama SC on match day two, but have since gone winless in two games losing 2-1 to Karela United and drawing goalless with Legon Cities.

But Dreams have always been competitive and there is so much at stake aside the bragging rights to avoid defeat against the Phobians or bag the points.

The game is scheduled for 18:00GMT kick off and will be broadcasted live on StarTimes Adepa channel 247.
