Legon Cities shot-stopper William Essu has emerged as Goalkeeper of the Month for April.

Essu was amongst five goalkeepers shortlisted for the award which included Aduana FC's Joseph Addo, Benjamin Asiedu Kwesi of King Faisal FC, Frederick Asare of Asante Kotoko SC and Dari Aziz Haruna of Bechem United FC.

The former Ghana U20 goalkeeper kept clean sheets in all three matches his club won in the month of April.

He will receive a goalkeepers glove and a jersey from the National Goalkeepers Union.
