Orlando Wellington has become the second technical person in the Glo Premier League to be asked to proceed on leave.

Berekum Chelsea said in a statement on Monday that their assistant coach had been ordered to go on a one-month leave.

“It’s unfortunate this news has come at this moment but I think that is what best suites the two parties,” Chief Executive Nana Kwame Nketiah said.

Wellington now joins Bashir Hayford of Medeama SC, who was asked to go on leave last week as the two persons given an early rest even though the season just started.

”After the end of the leave, we will be happy to work again,” the statement continued.

Wellington joined Chelsea from Heart of Lions early last season and led the club to win last season’s league title.
