Lots of talk had centred on Ghana’s approach to games under Milovan Rajevac but for John Paintsil, such comments does not matter as the Black Stars hope continue flying high the flag for Africa.

Ghana, the only side from the continent still in the World Cup which is entering its business stages – quarter-final – are keen on getting a result against Uruguay on Friday to certainly create history.

No Africa side has reached the semi-finals of the World Cup with the closest being the last eight stage performances by Cameroon and Senegal in 1990 and 2002.

For Paintsil, Ghana will stick to its game plan as modelled by Rajevac.

"I don't think there is anything to change in our game. We are going to stay with our game plan - just relax and play our normal, good football and keep our positions and heads together and keep our discipline.

"We play as a team. The coach wants one to play up front so we have to stick to that. If we are tactically indisciplined on the pitch we won't succeed."
