Wayo gives Liberty professionals slim win against Legon Cities

Liberty Professionals on Sunday deepened the woes of Legon Cities at the Ibrahim Sly Tetteh park in Dansoman with a 1-0 victory.

Winger Abraham Wayo scored in the 79th minute to hand the scientific soccer lads another home win, much to the delight of their teaming fans. Legon Cities played 65 minutes of the game with 10 men after defender Yusif Fadili picked up a red card in the 25th minute.

He was sent off after receiving a second yellow card. His first booking came in two minutes of the game. Bashiru Hayford's side managed to hold their hold until the 79th minute when they conceded a penalty after Godfred Atuahene was fouled in the box.

Speedster Wayo picked the ball and displaced Legon Cities goalkeeper Fatau Dauda for the opener ten minutes from time.

The result takes Liberty to 8th in the League table with 10 points while Legon Cities occupy the foot of the table with three points after seven round of games.
