Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has announced a key change to the starting line-up of the Black Starlets ahead of their crucial WAFU B U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying clash with hosts Côte d’Ivoire on Tuesday evening.

Dr. Ogum has handed a starting place to Prince Abdul Muniru, who comes in to replace Gabriel Denyinah following the defender’s red card in Ghana’s opening match against Togo. The tactical reshuffle is aimed at strengthening the team’s backline while maintaining attacking balance.

Solomon Kesse will remain in post for Ghana, with a defensive back-four made up of George Clinton, Prince Abdul Muniru, Rashidan Yakubu and Kingsley Fosu. In midfield, Ernest Ofori, Eric Adu Gyamfi, Mark Aboakye and Joseph Narbi will provide energy and control, as Robinho Yao Gavi and Michael Awuli spearhead the attack.

The Black Starlets are treating the match as a must-win encounter to boost their chances of progressing from Group A. After a promising performance in their opener, Coach Dr. Ogum is confident the young team will rise to the occasion.

Kick-off for this high-stakes encounter is scheduled for 6:00 pm local time in Yamoussoukro.
