The Black Starlets have wrapped up their preparations ahead of Tuesday’s crucial Group A encounter against Benin at the ongoing WAFU Zone B U17 Championship in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

The team completed their final training session on Monday morning at the Salitas Academy Complex as they fine-tuned their preparations for the decisive fixture, with the technical team focused on ensuring the players are ready for the challenge ahead.

Kassim Ocansey’s side head into the match seeking another victory after opening their campaign with a 1-0 win over Togo, a result that handed them three valuable points in their quest to progress to the knockout stage.

A win against Benin on Tuesday will secure Ghana automatic qualification to the semi-finals, making the encounter a significant test for the young side as they look to maintain their winning momentum in the competition.

The technical team will be hoping the players can build on their opening-day performance and convert their scoring opportunities more efficiently against a Benin side also determined to advance in the tournament.

The Black Starlets will face Benin on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, with a place in the semi-finals within reach as they continue their campaign at the WAFU Zone B U17 Championship.
