The West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU B) has confirmed new dates for the second edition of the WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup, which will now take place from November 7 to 12, 2025, in Benin.
Originally scheduled for November 3–10, the tournament’s adjustment comes as part of efforts to ensure optimal preparation and participation among the competing nations.
Three countries have officially confirmed their involvement - host nation Benin, Nigeria, and defending champions Ghana.
Ghana’s U-20 girls will head into the competition looking to retain their crown after triumphing in the maiden edition in Kumasi, where they defeated arch-rivals Nigeria 3-1 on penalties in a dramatic final.
The WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup continues to play an important role in developing women’s football across West Africa, offering a vital platform for emerging female talents to gain international exposure and competitive experience.
