Upper East Regional Football Chairman, Alhaji Salifu Zida has been duly elected as a representative of the RFA chairmen on the GFA Executive Council at the 25th Ordinary Congress held on  20th December, 2019 at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram.

Mr Zida who contested the elections against Central Regional chairman Robert Duncan, received six out of seven votes with one abstention.

The Upper East regional chairman will now join Mr Linford Boadu as representatives of the RFAs on the Executive Council.

Per his election onto the council, Mr Zida will chair the Referees appointment Committee of the GFA for the upcoming season.

The Ghana football association is set to launch the new season tomorrow, 21st December, 2019 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
