Bechem United and AshantiGold SC remain the only unbeaten sides in the ongoing Premier League campaign and the two teams fight to maintain that impressive record on Sunday.

The Hunters sit in second place, level on points with leaders Karela United FC while AshantiGold SC occupy the fifth spot with 9 points from 5 games.

The two teams will lock horns on Sunday at the Fosu Gyeabuor park at Bechem in an outstanding Premier League encounter. For Bechem United, this is an opportunity to maintain their one hundred percent winning record at home having beaten WAFA and Karela United in their first two home games.

But they come up against a free scoring AshantiGold SC side who have yet to lose a game on the road, scoring ten goals in their last three outings.

The Miners put four past Elmina Sharks and scored five against King Faisal before drawing 1-1 with Techiman Eleven Wonders. They have drawn both away games this season against Accra Hearts of Oak (2-2) and Techiman Eleven Wonders (1-1).

Bechem United did the unthinkable last week after coming from behind to beat Inter Allies in Accra with Hafiz Konkoni netting the match winner. Listowel Amankona was the hero on match day six when he latched onto a rebound to tap home the winner against Karela United.

One thing that has worked for them is the display of confidence and belief. Salifu Moro, Prince Twene, Stephen Owusu and goalkeeper Prince Asempa have done marvellously well, for coach Kwaku Danso’s side.

AshantiGold SC will come into the game oozing with confidence following their impressive displays in their last three games.

They have not lost a game since their elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup.

The 3-1 loss in Ouagadougou against Salitas FC remain their only defeat in the new campaign and they stand the chance of troubling the home side considering their recent form.

Yaw Annor returns home to play against his former club. He has been absolutely magnificent with his wonderful wing play and his ability to open up opponents. He made an assist against Hearts of Oak and Elmina Sharks and scored two goals against King Faisal in a 5-1 win.

One of the emerging prospects in the team is twenty-year-old Isaac Opoku Agyemang. The youngster scored two goals on his debut for the Miners and have the chance of playing on Sunday.

Appiah McCarthy, Roland Amouzou, Abdul Bashiru, Richard Osei Agyemang and Ibrahim Samed have all been amazing since their opening day draw against Karela United at home.

Eric Esso and David Abagna will be on hand to provide shied for the team as they fight to boss the midfield and we envisage an entertaining midfield battle on Sunday at the Fosu Gyeabuor park.
