Two-match ban plus a fine for Hearts

The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association has handed Accra Hearts of Oak a two-match home ban plus a fine for crowd disturbances.

A series of reported incidents happened after the 1-1 draw match at the Ohene Djan Stadium between Hearts and Chelsea on August 9, 2009 in last season's Glo Premier League.

Hearts admitted to the charge of misconduct of their fans under Article 39.7 for which the club is held responsible as per GFA Regulations 35.4.

"The Committee imposes on Hearts of Oak a two-match suspension from their home venue plus a fine of GH¢3,000

"We also order the club to reimburse the victims for the cost of their medications and loses.

"An analogue wrist watch belonging to assistant referee Mumuni Issaka, two flags belonging to the assistant referees, a cell phone belonging to the nurse attending to the injured Mumuni Issaka, and the uniform top of through damage," the Disciplinary Committee's decision read.
